How it works

From install to first analysis, in under ten minutes.

Vibe Coach is deliberately simple. You record, we analyze, you adjust. Here's the full loop.

  1. Install via TestFlight

When you receive a TestFlight invite email, tap the link on your iPhone. iOS will walk you through installing TestFlight (Apple's beta app) and then Vibe Coach itself. First launch asks you to sign in with Apple or Google — we use this only to sync your analyses across devices.

  2. Pick the lift and set up your phone

Open Vibe Coach, then choose the lift (back squat, dumbbell bench press, or conventional deadlift at launch). The app shows you a reference coach video for that lift, alongside a few coaching tips. Watch it and read the tips. Then prop your phone on the floor, a weight, or a phone stand, and match the camera angle and distance of that reference video as closely as you can. The closer the match, the better the analysis — off-angle or off-distance shots can significantly degrade the feedback.

  3. Set your angle, capture your set

Switch to the Self tab and pick whichever angle is most convenient where you're training — front, left 45°, or right 45°. From there, either tap record and walk over, or pick a video you already shot. If you're recording live, train how you normally train. When you're done, walk back, tap Stop recording, preview the video, and hit Upload. No need to rush either way — Vibe Coach detects the walks to and from the bar and excludes them from scoring.

  4. Read your analysis

Analysis typically takes 5 to 10 minutes. You don't have to wait around — leave the app, finish your session, and come back via the Analysis History section when it's done. Once it lands, you'll see an overall score, a side-by-side video — your reps on the left, the reference reps on the right, time-matched so both sides move in sync — and a short list of specific things to work on. Scrub the comparison video or slow the playback down to watch the moments that matter.

  5. Apply one thing, not ten

You'll get a handful of improvement notes, each tagged with how many of your reps it showed up in — like "6 of 6 reps" or "1 of 6". Pick one or two to work on, and come back to the others later. Trying to fix everything at once is how you end up changing nothing.

  6. Keep what you want, delete the rest

Analyses and videos live in your library until you delete them. We don't keep deleted content.
